Welcome to Bible songs for kids about the Psalms. Many of the Psalms in the Bible have been made into hymns and songs that you can use to teach kids at home, church, Bible class, and Sunday school. Some of these songs are to familiar kids’ tunes, but others are traditional hymns you probably remember from your hymn book growing up. If the song is marked, “traditional” and you’re not sure of the tune, you can probably find it on YouTube. Also, check out these songs about Young Boy David and King David.

Who wrote the Psalms?
Who wrote the Psalms?
Do you know who wrote the Psalms?
It was David.

I Shall Not Be Moved
From Psalm 1
Tune: 573 in Sacred Selections hymnbook, public domain
I shall not be, I shall not be moved!
I shall not be, I shall not be moved!
Just like a tree that’s planted by the waters,
I shall not be moved!
Glory, Hallelujah! I shall not be moved!
Anchored in Jehovah! I shall not be moved!
Just like a tree that’s planted by the waters,
I shall not be moved!
Fighting sin and Satan, I shall not be moved!
Fighting sin and Satan, I shall not be moved!
Just like a tree that’s planted by the waters,
I shall not be moved!

Psalm 118: 24 This is the Day

We will rejoice and be glad in it.
This is the day, this is the day,
That the Lord has made!

I praise His name, I praise His name,
I praise His name, He’s so good to me.

Praise Him! Praise Him!
By Fanny Crosby, public domain
From Psalm 148:1-2
Praise him, praise him!
Jesus, our blessed redeemer!
Sing, O earth, his wonderful love proclaim!
Hail him, hail him!
Highest archangels in glory!
Strength and honor give to his holy name!
Like a shepherd,
Jesus will guard his children.
I his arms he carries them all day long.
Praise him! Praise him!
Tell of his excellent greatness.
Praise him! Praise him!
Ever in joyful song.
To God Be the Glory
By Fanny Crosby, public domain
To God be the glory!
Great things He has done.
So loved He the world that He gave us His Son.
Who yielded His life an atonement for sin,
And opened the life-gate that all may go in.
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord!
Let the earth hear His voice.
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord!
Let the people rejoice.
O come to the Father
Through Jesus the Son.
And give Him the glory,
Great things He has done.
