Our Prehistoric Planet by Sue Lowell Gallion
Our Prehistoric Planet is a beautifully illustrated board book that introduces children to dinosaurs and prehistoric life through a unique globe-shaped design that stands upright for display.
Note: The book presents the history of the earth from an evolutionary perspective, which does not align with our family’s biblical view of creation. However, I appreciated the stunning artwork and found it useful as a conversation starter about different worldviews and what we believe about God’s creation.
What kids will learn: Children who love dinosaurs and prehistoric creatures will enjoy exploring the colorful illustrations and unique globe-shaped format. The book introduces a variety of prehistoric animals and concepts related to the natural world.
Why parents will love it: The standout feature of this book is its fun and creative stand-up globe design. I also appreciated the large-print rhyming text for younger listeners paired with additional facts for older children. Families should be aware that the book presents an evolutionary view of earth’s history, which differs from the biblical truth of creation. For us, it provided an opportunity to discuss evolution, worldview, and how the truth taught about God’s creation in scripture varies from the scientific theories taught in the world.

Children’s Books for Technology, Critical Thinking & Digital Wisdom
How to Train Your Evil Robot by Joy McCullough
A funny, fast‑paced comic-book style picture book that uses a mischievous “evil robot” to teach kids about the importance of responsible technology use – especially AI. Through humor and heart, it gently explores how tools like AI can be helpful, or chaotic, depending on how we guide them – and the great value of being human.
What kids will learn: Kids will be challenged to think critically about technology, understand consequences, and recognize that tools like AI need human wisdom and boundaries.
