When Jesus came to Bethany,

Not aware the house was neat.

Martha came and fussed at Jesus,

“Lord, my sister doesn’t help,

And I have to do the cooking,

And the cleaning all myself.”

“Martha, Martha, you are worried,

And concerned for many things.

Mary’s chosen what is better;

Let her see what listening brings.”

Zacchaeus

Zacchaeus was a wee little man,

And a wee little man was he!

He climbed up in a sycamore tree,

For Jesus he wanted to see.

And as the Savior passed along,

He looked up in the tree.

(And He said), “Zacchaeus, you come down!

For I’m going to your house today.

Zacchaeus was a happy man,

And a happy man was he!

Zacchaeus came down from that tree,

and said, “What a better man I’ll be.

I’ll give my money to the poor.
