God in Heaven
By Connie Walters
Tune: Twinkle Twinkle Little Star
1-2-3-4-5-6-7,
Someday I will be in heaven.
I know I will see God there,
I know that he hears my prayer,
1-2-3-4-5-6-7,
Someday I will be in heaven.
God is Up in Heaven
Tune: Chorus of Sunlight
Sing, sing, sing, sing,
Let us sing today.
Sing, sing, sing, sing,
As we work and play.
God is up in heaven,
So very good is he,
He will ever love and take good care of me.
God Said It
Tune: traditional hymn
God said it, I believe it,
‘Tis all that faith demands.
Though heaven and earth shall pass away,
His word will stand.
Going to Shout All Over God’s Heaven
Tune: traditional hymn, public domain
I’ve got a robe, you’ve got a robe,
All of God’s children got a robe.
When I get to heaven goin’ to put on my robe,
Goin’ to shout all over God’s heaven.
Heaven, heaven.
Everybody talkin’ ‘bout
Heaven how they goin’ there,
Heaven, heaven.
I’m gonna shout all over God’s heaven.
I’ve got shoes, you’ve got shoes,
All God’s children got shoes.
When I get to heaven, gonna put on my shoes,
I’m gonna walk all over God’s heaven,
Heaven, heaven,
Everybody talkin’ bout
Heaven how they goin’ there,
heaven, heaven,
I’m gonna walk all over God’s heaven.
I’ve got a crown, you’ve got a crown,
All God’s children got a crown.
When I get to heaven, gonna put on my crown,
I’m goin’ to shout all over God’s heaven,
Heaven, heaven,
Everybody talkin’ bout,
Heaven how they goin’ there,
Heaven, heaven,
I’m gonna shout all over God’s heaven.
Heaven is a Wonderful Place
Tune: traditional hymn
By O. A. Lambert
Heaven is a wonderful place,
Filled with glory and grace,
I want to see my Savior’s face,
Heaven is a wonderful place.
(I wanna go there!)
Streets are paved with gold,
We will never grow old,
Daily see him face to face,
Heaven is a wonderful place.
One Day
Tune: Mary Had a Little Lamb
By Amanda Wilson
One day there will be no tears,
No more pain, no more fears,
One day there will be no tears,
When we get to heaven.
One day there will be no night,
No more darkness, only light,
One day there will be no night,
When we get to heaven.
We will meet our Jesus, dear,
Hold his hand and see him there,
We will meet out Jesus, dear,
When we get to heaven.
Sing to Me of Heaven
Tune: hymn
By Ada Powell
Sing to me of Heaven, sing that song of peace,
From the toils that bind me it will bring release;
Burdens will be lifted that are pressing so,
Showers of great blessing o’er my heart will flow.
Sing to me of Heaven, let me fondly dream,
Of its golden glory, of its pearly gleam;
Sing to me when shadows of the evening fall,
Sing to me of Heaven, sweetest song of all.
Take Us to Heaven
Tune: Away in a Manger
(note: this is the 3rd verse of the song)
Be near me Lord Jesus, I ask You to stay,
Close by me forever, and love me I pray.
Bless all the dear children in Your tender care,
And take us to heaven to live with You there.
When the Saints Go Marching In
Tune: traditional, public domain
Oh when the saints go marching in,
Oh when the saints go marching in,
Oh, Lord I want to be in that number,
Oh when the saints go marching in.
Oh when the trumpet sounds the call,
Oh when the trumpet sounds the call,
Oh, Lord I want to be in that number,
Oh when the trumpet sounds the call.
Oh when they crown Him Lord of All,
Oh when they crown Him Lord of All,
Oh, Lord I want to be in that number,
Oh when they crown Him Lord of All,
Oh, Lord, I want to be in that number,
When the saints go marching in!
When We All Get to Heaven
Tune: hymn, public domain
By E.E. Hewitt
Sing the wondrous love of Jesus,
Sing His mercy and His grace;
In the mansions bright and blessed
He’ll prepare for us a place.
When we all get to heaven,
what a day of rejoicing that will be!
When we all see Jesus,
we’ll sing and shout the victory!
You Can’t Get to Heaven on Roller Skates
Tune: traditional
You can’t get to heaven
(Echo) You can’t get to heaven
On roller skates
(Echo) On roller skates
You’re roll right by
(Echo) You’re roll right by
Those pearly gates
(Echo) Those pearly gates
You can’t get to heaven on roller skates,
You’ll roll right by those pearly gates.
If you get there
(Echo) If you get there
before I do,
(Echo) before I do,
Tell all my friends
(Echo) Tell all my friends
I’m coming, too.
(Echo) I’m coming, too.
If you get there before I do,
Tell all my friends I’m coming, too.
Other verses (continue the echo)
You can’t get to heaven in a rocking chair.
‘Cause the rocking chair won’t take you there.
You can’t get to heaven in a motor car,
‘Cause a motor car won’t go that far.
You can’t get to heaven in a rocket ship,
‘Cause the rocket ship won’t take that trip.
You can’t get to heaven in a limousine,
‘Cause the Lord don’t sell no gasoline.
