All Things Bright and Beautiful
By Cecil Frances Alexander, 1848
The little flower that opens,
The little bird that sings,
God made its glowing colors,
He made its tiny wings.
Chorus:
All things bright and beautiful,
All creatures great and small,
All things wise and wonderful,
The Lord God made them all.
The cold wind in the winter,
The pleasant summer sun.
The ripe fruits in the garden,
He made them every one.
The purple headed mountains,
The river running by,
The sunset and the morning
That brightens up the sky.
He gave us eyes to see them,
And lips that we might tell,
How great is God Almighty,
Who has made all things well.
Climb, Climb Up Sunshine Mountain
By Ruth Crawford, 1934
Climb, climb up sunshine mountain,
Heavenly breezes blow.
Climb, climb up sunshine mountain,
Faces all aglow.
Turn, turn your heart from evil,*
Look up to the sky.
Climb, climb up sunshine mountain,
You and I.
* Original lyrics replaced “heart from evil” with “backs from doubting”

Deep and Wide
Deep and wide, deep and wide,
There’s a fountain flowing deep and wide.
Deep and wide, deep and wide,
There’s a fountain flowing deep and wide.
Wide and deep, wide and deep,
There’s a fountain flowing wide and deep,
Wide and deep, wide and deep,
There’s a fountain flowing wide and deep.
Repeat and omit a word each time, humming in place of the word.
Do Lord, O, Do Lord
I’ve got a home in glory land that outshines the sun!
I’ve got a home in glory land that outshines the sun!
I’ve got a home in glory land that outshines the sun!
Look way, beyond the blue.
Chorus:
Do Lord, O do Lord, O do remember me!
Do Lord, O do Lord, O do remember me!
Do Lord, O do Lord, O do remember me!
Look way, beyond the blue.
I took Jesus as my Savior, you take Him too!
I took Jesus as my Savior, you take Him too!
I took Jesus as my Savior, you take Him too!
Look way, beyond the blue.
Kumbaya
Kumbaya my Lord, kumbaya
Kumbaya my Lord, kumbaya
Kumbaya my Lord, kumbaya
Oh Lord, kumbaya.
Someone’s singing Lord, kumbaya
Someone’s singing Lord, kumbaya
Someone’s singing Lord, kumbaya
Oh Lord, kumbaya.
Someone’s crying Lord, kumbaya
Someone’s crying Lord, kumbaya
Someone’s crying Lord, kumbaya
Oh Lord, kumbaya.
Someone’s praying Lord, kumbaya
Someone’s praying Lord, kumbaya
Someone’s praying Lord, kumbaya
Oh Lord, kumbaya,
I’m All Wrapped Up
I’m all wrapped up, I’m all tied up,
I’m all tangled up in Jesus.
I’m all wrapped up, I’m all tied up,
I’m all tangled up in God.
I’m all wrapped up, I’m all tied up,
I’m all tangled up in Jesus.
I’m all wrapped up, tied up, tangled up in God.
One Door and Only One
First published 1935
One door, and only one
And yet its sides are two,
Inside and outside,
On which side are you?
One Door, and only one,
And yet its sides are two,
I’m on the inside,
On which side are you?
One Lord, and only one
And yet the ways are two,
Right way and wrong way
On which way are you?
One Lord, and only one
And yet its ways are two
I’m on the right way,
On which way are you?
One Book, and only one
Which tells of places two
Good place or bad place
On which place choose you?
One Book and only one
Which tells the place is true
I choose the good place,
And which place choose you?
I choose the good place,
And which place choose you?
I choose the good place,
And which place choose you?

The Gospel Train

The gospel train is comin’
The wheels go round and round
Everyone is happy, this train is heaven bound

Get on board, little children!
Get on board, little children!
Get on board, little children!
There’s room for many a more.
I hear that train a comin’,
A comin’ round the track,
I’ll be getting’ on it,
And I won’t be lookin’ back.
You won’t need a penny,
To ride this glorious train,
Just give your heart to Jesus
And ride away with Him.

More Favorite Bible Songs
What is the most popular children’s hymn?
“Jesus Loves Me” has been a constant kid-favorite for over 150 years! It was first published as a poem by Anna Bartlett Warner in 1860 in a novel written by her sister. Two years later in 1862, William Batchelder Bradbury added the simple tune and the now-famous chorus we all love and sing. “Jesus Loves Me” continues to be the number one most popular children’s hymn today.
